This gathering marks the unveiling of The Familiar Unknown, a collaborative publication emerging from Five60’s Malleshwaram Photo Walk. The project invited individual photographers to respond to a shared geography not as tourists but as observers — documenting fragments of contemporary life through distinct personal lenses.

The event will unfold as a collective reflection. We begin with an introduction to the intent behind the project, followed by projected presentations of selected works and a moderated discussion with renowned photographer Mr Mahesh Bhatt around proximity and the anthropology of the everyday. The evening culminates in the formal launch of the zine and an open dialogue with participating artists.

More than a showcase, this is an inquiry into how multiple perspectives can converge to construct a layered portrait of a place and how contemporary photography can transform the familiar into something newly visible.
