LEKHANA brings together the many literary worlds of our city — voices that don’t often meet — for a weekend of readings, conversations, and community.

As the annual Sangam House Literary Weekend, Lekhana gathers writers across languages and genres, along with resident writers from around the world, to share their work with Bangalore’s vibrant literary community. All events are free and open to everyone.
We’re proud to support this celebration of writing alongside partners from across the arts — with Atta Galatta joining as the bookstore.

The theme this year is “Speaking in Tongues” – which addresses the different languages that live in our own city – cinematic, musical, verbal and literary – and includes discussions with writers from other cultures that hold many languages within themselves.

The event is free and open to all.
