Kaudi Workshop
This hands-on Kaudi Making Workshop introduces participants to the traditional craft of hand quilting through a simple and functional project. The session begins with an introduction to Kaudi, its technique, materials, and the basic principles of hand quilting. Participants will then be guided step-by-step through preparing, layering, and stitching the fabric using traditional hand-quilting methods. The workshop focuses on learning through practice, allowing participants to understand the process while creating their own piece. By the end of the session, each participant will complete a Kaudi sample that can be used as a coaster, taking home a handmade piece and the skills to explore the craft further.
Jinkey Studio is a creative initiative focused on exploring and sharing craft through hands-on sessions and workshops. The studio aims to introduce people to different craft techniques while encouraging creativity and experimentation.
Alongside workshops, Jinkey Studio will develop handcrafted products and artworks, using craft techniques in simple, contemporary ways. The focus is on enjoying the process of making and finding new possibilities within traditional and modern crafts.

Lekha Umesha is an architect and interior designer with a B.Arch from NIT Trichy and a Master’s in Interior Design from Florence, Italy. Her diverse creative journey has spanned fashion, architectural education, container homes and prefabricated structures, owning a restaurant, and running a gift shop.
Crafting has been a part of Lekha’s life since the age of three. Her mother introduced her to little embroidery projects at an early age. She began using a sewing machine in primary school and learnt crochet in high school.
Today, she conducts workshops in crochet, embroidery, macramé, weaving, and more, with a simple aim—to spread the joy of crafting and inspire more people to create with their hands.
