SUMMARY:꿈 - What do you dream? by Anya Shankar
DESCRIPTION:꿈\, stands for dream. Have your dreams ever scared you? Surprised you? Bared your ambitions\, or gave you a sense of deja vu? Do you think all of us dream the same thing but in different ways? In different languages? Across time? \nJoin us for an evening of sharing our memories\, a part of ourselves through our dreams. You will be able to see strangers across the world share how\, what and why they dream what they dream. What do they fear? What do they want no one to know? And how they envision their lives to unfold. \nAnd if you like\, you can share yours too. Make a collage of what you see\, want to see\, and share your dreams without saying anything. Take it home\, or leave it with us to keep it safe. \nBecause sometimes\, the only person you can be completely honest with is a complete stranger. \nRSVP for the event here!

SUMMARY:Exhibition Teaser- Re:Reading Bangalore
DESCRIPTION:A short preview of our exhibition Re:Reading Bangalore will be showcased at the Suchitra Film Society\, during the Bangalore International Short Film Festival (BISFF). \nCities are not only constructed in brick and concrete — they are also built through language\, memory\, sound\, image\, and story. Re: Reading Bangalore is a curatorial invitation to engage with the city as a layered text: to read it\, remember it\, and reimagine it. It proposes the city as an open archive\, a palimpsest of lived experience\, and a terrain of intimate and collective meaning-making.\nThis exhibition brings together books\, urban research\, archival records\, films\, maps\, soundscapes\, and artistic interventions to present multiple and overlapping ways of reading\nBangalore. These works don’t simply describe the city — they interpret it\, challenge it\, mourn it\, and dream it anew.\nCrossing disciplinary boundaries\, the exhibition features: \n\nBooks and scholarly research that reflect on urban development\, infrastructure\, housing\, water\, and ecology.\nFictional narratives that map emotional and psychological geographies of the city.\nArchival material including maps\, reports\, planning documents\, and photographs that trace transformations and ambitions over time.\nFilms and soundscapes that evoke sensory and temporal rhythms of Bangalore’s neighbourhoods.\nParticipatory archives and citizen-led mappings that foreground lived knowledge and local histories.\n\nTogether\, these works ask:\nWhose stories shape the city’s imagination?\nWhat can we learn from forgotten\, vanishing\, or deliberately erased infrastructures?\nHow might memory\, research\, and creative practice offer new ways to belong\, resist\, and\ncare? \nAt a moment when Bangalore’s accelerated growth threatens its ecological and cultural ground\, Re: Reading Bangalore offers a pause. It is an invitation to slow down\, to observe\, to listen. To read the city — closely\, critically\, and collectively.\nThis is not just an exhibition. It is a proposition:\nThat a city is best understood not through its skyline\, but through the stories we tell\, the memories we keep\, and the ways we choose to read — and rewrite — our place within it.

SUMMARY:UNDER CONSTRUCTION - BANGALORE IN PROGRESS
DESCRIPTION:This exhibition showcases Bengaluru’s big-budget mobility infrastructure projects—those newly announced\, currently under construction\, completed and long stalled. As our city becomes a landscape of constant building activity\, Bangalore in Progress invites us to question the priorities that shape it: What kind of city is being imagined? Who benefits from these investments? And what does “progress” actually mean for those who live and move through Bengaluru every day?  \nThe extensive funding allocated to mobility infrastructure in Bengaluru overwhelmingly prioritizes movement over liveability\, often overlooking the everyday needs of the people living around or traveling within the city. Flyovers\, metro lines\, and high-speed corridors may promise faster commutes\, but without integrating the social and cultural layers of urban life\, they risk becoming monumental\, disconnected structures—plagued with congestion and devoid of human experience.  \nThis exhibition encourages citizens to step back\, observe the larger picture\, and reflect on how these projects impact their quality of life and the city’s future. Unless mobility projects are designed with people at their centre—prioritizing accessibility\, safety\, and inclusivity—they will fail to create meaningful\, liveable cities.  \nBangalore in Progress explores the city of Bengaluru\, caught in a state of perpetual construction. The exhibition shows a complete picture of what is working\, what is stuck\, and what is still to come\, leaving the audience with questions about the city’s future. Through maps\, visuals\, and crowdsourced data\, Bangalore in Progress encourages us to step back\, observe the larger picture\, and make sense of how mobility projects impact their quality of life and the future of the city.  \nCurated under our thematic InfraCulture – As Indian cities grapple with issues of sustainability\, equity\, and urban liveability\, there is a crucial need to reimagine infrastructure. We advocate for a fundamental shift in both the thinking and planning of infrastructure\, as well as a transformation in the very nature of infrastructure spaces—what we call ‘Infraculture’.  \nInfrastructure shapes the pulse of urban life—dictating movement\, access\, and interaction. Yet\, in its current form\, it often alienates rather than connects. Infraculture challenges this paradigm\, reimagining infrastructure not as a rigid technical system but as a living\, cultural organism  \nEvent is open to all. Guided Walkthroughs at 5:00PM on all exhibition days.
