SUMMARY:Where the Wild Things Are
DESCRIPTION:Bangalore’s rapid urbanisation has brought the city’s edges closer to forests\, lakes\, and farmlands than ever before. As the built environment pushes into these natural systems\, encounters with wildlife are becoming part of the city’s living memory. Yet\, urban residents often experience these moments through the lens of conflict\, forgetting that wildness is not “out there\,” but woven into the city’s ecological fabric. \nMod Foundation in collaboration with Echo Network and Owletter Creations presents an evening exploring how Bangalore can reimagine its relationship with the wild seeing it not as an intrusion but as a presence to live alongside. \nJoin us for Where the Wild Things Are: Screening of the movie Huliyappa directed by Sourabha Rao and an interactive workshop to see Bengaluru through a lens where humans and wildlife coexist. We often consider cities as constructed for human inhabitation only. This event helps participants see that their city and their daily lives are part of a shared ecosystem where many species including humans co-exist for our mutual survival. The goal is to help participants consider how humans and wildlife can coexist in cities\, and what adaptations are necessary to ensure the health and wellbeing of all city dwellers. It also aims to help people realise that the places they think are meant only for humans can also be home to wildlife. \nThe interactive workshop and expert talks/panel discussions are mindfully crafted to help raise awareness about how our cities are part of a shared ecosystem where many species including humans co-exist for mutual survival. \nRSVP Here \n\n\n	Related
