SUMMARY:Homo Philosophicus: Everyday philosophy and ethics in the age of AI
DESCRIPTION:A public conversation with Sundar Sarukkai about his latest book\, Homo Philosophicus: Discovering the Spirit of Philosophy in Everyday Life\, moderated by Ram Bhat of Hornbill Academy. \nThe conversation will explore everyday philosophy and ethics: how we think\, make choices and live with one another at a time when AI is increasingly woven into ordinary life. Drawing on the book\, it will consider what philosophical thinking offers us in understanding these changes\, without assuming prior knowledge of philosophy or technology. \nPresented by Hornbill Academy\, with BLR Design Centre proposed as venue partner\, this is a free public event. The format is a conversation followed by audience questions\, lasting 90 minutes. This also connects to the questions behind Hornbill Academy’s focus on the ethics of AI in its work\, while keeping the book and the public conversation at its centre. \nAbout the speakers: \nSundar Sarukkai\nSundar Sarukkai is a philosopher\, author and educator working primarily in the philosophy of the natural and social sciences.
